super woofers

hi friends, what are super woofers and how are they better than subwoofers.recently i am seeing only subwoofers even i ipod docks and rearly hearing about super woofers.what are they.please explain me.

Super woofers are nothing but regular sub-woofers. But with a super sounding name. This is just a marketing gimmick used by manufaturers to make them seem more powerful than regular sub-woofers in advertisements and brochures. The technology used in both is same. Only the name differs.

i feel super woofers is the term of more db quality and increase in wattage,, and they are calling the sub woofer as super woofers to make some type of new improvements... not sure.. but just a thought
