Timesheet tracker

Hi all,
In companies there is a timesheet tracker. As of now our company is doing it in Excel. Every employee enters their work every now and then. Quite fine till here. However, then 1 of us has to wait and collect the data of all the employees and find their total work and how productive they were?

So, is there any free software that will capture all the data and at the end of the day, will provide us with reports.
Plz let me know.
