I want to design a flash based website...which software sud I use.The website sud look completly professional......

Whether it looks professional or not depends on your design! For flash clips you have to use Macromedia Flash!!  Isn't it? Or download one of the thousands already available for free!
Even notepad can write HTML pages where you can embed it!!

that types of banner, adds which appears on rediff & indiatimes.......? isnt it
for that u have to create your own in Macromedia Flash
just read flash tut. making this add is too simple
i hav made a lot of these types for some of the websites

use swish.... it has preset effects that can be exported to swf's...
embed the swf's into an html page... dunno if its free or not tho... the last time i used it, it used to have a 15-30 day trial... isnt freeware tho... get a trial version, use it to get a few effects, put it up on ur website...
it is quite simple...

download the software SWISH... or SWISHmax from download.com....
and to embed it, use frontpage...
