Default RAM Dual-channeling issues

I have a Pentium 4 on a 915 board.

I have 512*2 of Transcend High Performance RAM set up in Dual channel.

Now I want to buy 512MB, single stick, of some cheaper RAM (Dynet). If I put this in as well, will it affect my other premium RAM? 2*256 is not an option.

Default Re: RAM Dual-channeling issues

SURE SURE THEN YOUR RAM SETUP WILL BE A SINGLE CHANNEL 64 bit and not a 128 bit DUAL CHANNEL and if you are having four slots try having two more chips of the same chipset which you are having now ... then only it will be a Dual channel.. MEANS TRANSCEND HIHG PERFORMANCE (CHIPSET LATENCY ETC.) SHOULD BE SAME
__________
NO DYNET WILL NOT DO AS IT WILL AGAIN BE A DIFFERENT CHIPSET AND WILL BE NOT SUAL CHANNEL..
same modules and same company same chipset
