Care to tell us what you downloaded? I guess 'the something' what you are pointing to is a crack for a software. Crack codes come disguised as a nfo and diz files. Opening it...hmmm...sounds like... No comments.

u can open .nfo files using notepad, most of the time they cantain the steps for using the software that came with it. .diz files are also the same i guess.

As a addon try this http://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-...O-Viewer.shtml
Official NFO viewer..sometimes displays nice text effects in nfo files which are not seen in normal notepad!

No, not all can be deleted.
Simply because some of them are dynamically resizing files that may seems to be 0byte but at other time may be allocated some bytes.

Well windows XP protection mechanism is good enuf that even if u delete some important system file then it will be replaced from system cache.
