Default 333 MHZ or 400 MHZ

Hi.
I want to know which memory configurations will be faster?
I have 2 512 MB DDR-RAM @ 400 MHZ sticks totalling 1 GB.
One is Kingston & another is Corsair, both 512 MB @ 400 MHZ each.
If I run them at CAS Latency 2.5, their speed comes down to 333 MHZ.
But if I run them at CAS Latency 3, their speed remains 400 MHZ.
Which config will be faster?

Please, also keep in mind the CAS Latency & not just speed.

Other things being equal, the second one, i.e., 400mhz will be faster.

Not helping much.
Need more posts to decide.

In most cases running at 400 MHz CAS 3 is faster than 333 MHz CAS 2.5 but AMD's integrated memory controller already has plenty of bandwidth through the Hypertransport link but it scales significantly with any change in latencies. It is possible that a lower latency might help in gaming.

The only way to be sure which is faster is to benchmark it.

400 MHz with CAS Latency 3 is better in any case wether u use AMD or Intel. The reason is that the bandwith provided by 400 MHz one can be used efficently by both the processors. Even in case if u use AMD it will give btter speed. Even if it has integrated memory controller and is more affected by CAS Latencies it will benifit from 400 one. But if u will be using a 800 and 667 MHz in such a CAS Latency timings the one having less CAS Latency will be more effective as the bandwith provided with 800 MHz one is not used much efficently.
