Unhappy Problem in installing MS Update

I've WinXP with SP2 sys. In the middle of the last month some security files were downloaded as Automtic Update from MS Update where one of the files KB 923980 - though downloaded in my sys and installed in it - but even after such installation of the said file, Auto Update icon is still coming in to the Notification area of the Task bar and indicating the file is waiting to be installed. Can I have a solution to this problem from any of you, please!

I hv also faced similar problem once and what I did is as following:

1.) Disable Automatic Updates.
2.) Empty following folder:

%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download

3.) Now enable Automatic Updates again.

Rename nwapi32.dll to nwapi.old in C:\Windows\System32.

Then, download and install manually this update from: Download

Restarts and verify if the installation of this update is right.
