Five Questions, plz help.

i have FIVE Questions to ask :

1) Whenever i try to download files using DAP 7.3 thru FTPs, i get an error saying file not found or some sort of other error.

2) Whenever i use ZONE ALARM PRO 5.5, i m not able to check my GMAIL. after entering username and password, page displays REDIRECTING and then comes back to GMAIL homepage.

3) How to set my PINNACLE TV STEREO remote for using with other applications??

4) How to increase my VIDEO RAM for onboard video card???

5) Which services in WINDOWS XP can i disable???
Any suggestions, plz??

1) thats not DAPs fault
if the file doesnt exist then u get that error
what other sort of error do u get?
besides if ur still adamant try using an FTP software to connect the the site and download .. if it works then let us know

2) have u tried doing the same after disablin zone alarm ?
i dun think the firewall is at fault
maybe some settings in ur browser
besides did it work earlier ? on the same comp / same config !?

3) u cant use it for other apps
u need a universal receiver and a diff software to recognise those button presses
ur ir receiver is set only to that frequency ...
besides since the software is always active it'll detect the button presses for that particular function itself !!

ur basic problem is the software ..
there are other software but they are mostly bundled with the receivers or are of DIY its where the IR is connected to a SERIAL port !

4) increase the agp aperture size in ur bios to max available value
besides this u cant do anything

well... for the 5th ques - in win xp u can go ahead n disable ALL services. Go through the properties of each of the services which give info abt that particular service. U can disable whichever u dont want. This boosts the cpu speed too...
DONT WORRY....NOTHING CRITICAL WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR COMP
