missing sysinfo.dll

guys...
when i am installin a soft it says missing sysinfo.dll....
i downloaded it from net and put it in system32 folder

and now when i try to install it says

entry point not found..

could not loacte in dyanmic linked library sysinfo.dll

my friend told to register d dll file when i tried doin it usin cmd line
i get
ENTRY POINT COULDNT BE FOUND

use windows cd to repair ur installation..it shud do

well try one thing...

Start >> Run >> (type) "cmd" >> (now type) "sfc /scannow"

keep the Windows XP installation CD in Hand... as it may ask for it..

btw do u have XP SP2 installed??

i used sfc/scanreg....
used my xp installation disk also ..
but no use....
i have sp2 installed ......

it still gives message

no entry point to the DLL....
