sys32evnt1.dll error

Whenever I tried to install some programs, a pop-up message saying "C:\PROGRAM^1\Symantec\S32EVNT!.DLL. An installable Virtual Device Driver dailed Dll intialization. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application." appeared. What do I do?

I think u had Norton Antiviru previously,and some time ago uninstalled it,right.If it is,then Norton is not uninstalled properly and u have use the Remover supplied by the Symantec called RNav2003.exe for NortonAV2003 and similarly for other version,so download that utility and proceed as given in the teps there.

Seems that you may have a corrupted registry key for one of your virtual device drivers......Try Out The Microsofts Assistance And search for Knowledge Base Article # 314452. 8)
