Red face DMA Problem


i have D845 Intel original mobo and one LG CD-RW as secondary master and one
LG DVD-RW GSA-H10N as secondary slave i have installed Intel Application Accelerator. in Nero Info Tool, it shows HDD and LG CD-RW with DMA on and LG DVD-RW DMA off why? what i have to do to make DMA On?

enable it from intel application accelerator if it is dissabled.

Intel Application Accelerator shows UDMA-2 current transfer mode for both writers. but nero shows DMA off for DVD-RW

you can check dma enabled by>>
Control panel>system>hardware>device manager> ide ata/atapi controllers> (then depending where you drive is connected go to specific controller and then to the specific channel ie primary/secondary)
usually u let the option > let bios decide and it should ultra dma 2 (methinks atleast for me)

DMA is already enabled no need to worry.
But to test it jut copy a cd to ur hard disk and notice ur CPU usages from task manager. It it uses lots of CPU time then DMA is not enabled
