hi i am buying a 250 gb SATA hdd. i just wanted to know which is better segate or hitachi.

I have a samsung 250 GB sata HDD its really cool nd of my HDD performance is very good. So my vote goes for samsung.

The best is Western Digital but you have not added the option for it. digit has crowned Western Digital drives as the best buys in many shoot-outs.

You can go for either Western Digital or Seagate HD. Both are equally good & better than the rest of the pack.

Go for either Seagate, Hitachi or Western Digital, but not Samsung.
I have seen enough Samsung drives going kaput, so I don't trust it. Also Samsung optical drives are the worst.

Samsung optical drives are worst but I had samsung hdd on my old pc and I didn't face any prob. Now I m using Hitachi HDD and no prob faced yet.
