DVD Subtitles not appearing

Hi,

I have a DVD copied to my hard disk.
If I use Power DVD to play the DVD from the DVD drive, I am able to select the subtitles and see them, whereas if I open the files from my hard disk, I am not able to select the subtitles or see them...

Any help wud be appreciated....

Tro Vlc Player Or a the K - Lite Codec pack ... it must work

If I use VLC Player, the sound quality is very poor.....
Any other alternative

Since it a DVD file ... u might Have Mutiple audio Tracks ... Right in Vlc while movie is Playing ... See if u have Mutiple audio tracks ... Try Swapping The Tracks ... Sound Quality must improve
