First install the older OS First (in your case first install win98 SE)
By default it installs in C:

After that install WinXP on a different partition or new partition say, D:

You will automatically get the boot menu once installation of Win XP is over.

naveen is completely correct

i would like to add that while installing XP make sure you choose the option for a new installation and not for an upgrade

it is always better to install different os on different partitons so if you dont have more than one partition use partition magic to make new partititon for Windows XP or if your harddisk is completely clean then you can even use fdisk utility of MSDos, i will say get someone who has information on such topic while installation

complicated its the simplest thing to do ... its like installing winamp...

have an empty ntfs partition ... run vista setup it will ask u whether u wanna upgrade or make a fresh install .... select fresh install and select the emoty ntfs partition ... vista will take care of the rest
