Default Bios or ????

I have a Delta motherboard (model no:M694X-MX) with VIA chipset running W2k. Recently, i have replaced my lithium CR2032 battery as system clock wasn`t functioning well.

& also sometimes it doesnt detect CDROM & CDR.

& my machine doesn`t power off automatically even though it has an ATX power supply. By default it should turn off automatically.

Now i have 2 start my PC without lithium CR2032 battery bt with it, it doesnt start.

Plz plz plz help me out.

U did not specify wher they are not gettin detected...in windoz or in BIOS
Does ur CDROM/burner light blink during boot...???
Anyway check ur IDE cables n their connections, also check the power supply....

No problem with that. You clearly check the jumper setting of CD-ROM/RW.I also faced same prob., with old COMPAQ AMD K6 330MHz machine.
>Connect the cd drive as a master in PRI or SEC IDE then it will detected next boot
>Even wrong connections in a MB cause sutdowning prob., or may be it is a wonder of WINDOSE
>U replace a CMOS battery with new Lithium-Ion Battery it solves this one

means : if i shut down windows, my cpu light is on & monitor display is also on with white or grey bg.

cdrom & cdr not detected : in bios as well as in windows.

starting my PC without lithium CR2032 battery bt with it, it doesnt start. //

means : bios ko tang diya.
