Default Nokia N72 Reviewed

Nokia N72 Review

My personal experience -

KEYS - Keys are small and take time getting used to. You mite end up pressing the wrong keys esp while messaging. As music player button n 'c' r
placed v.close, u mite end up activating music player while messaging!

SPEED - The phone is v.fast. The applications open fast n there is hardly ne lag wit even more than one application open

HEADPHONES - Headphones are of excellant quality though cud hav been a little louder. But d bass/treble r produced at amazing quality.

CAMERA - 2 MP camera is awesome wit 20x zoom. There are quite a few clicking options. But red eye reduction is really missed here.

SLIDER - This one is a big pain and u wil end up sliding it accidently. For rough users be careful or u mite damage it.

SPEAKERS - Speakers r of decent quality & loud enough.

ACTIVE TOOLBAR - It is a v.useful utility n u can access ur fav. stuf rite frm main screen without having to browse deep in ur cel.

DOES THE PHONE HANG? - Against popular belief dat all d N series phones hav hanging prb., this phones have not hung even once

PC Suite n N72 – Once u have installed PC Suite with d CD dat comes with N72 cell, browsing ur phone is just v.easy. The USB cable provided makes faster data transfer possible. U wudnt need a Mobtime Manager or odr s/w. to browse ur phone or install applications…

VERDICT - 4.5/5
- 0.5 points coz of d keys n slider…

SUGGESTION – Plz get ur phone protected with SCRATCHGUARD

PRICE apprx Rs.15200

i also have N70. AFAIK N72 is same as N70 without front camera, 3G and different outer body. i found video recording much improved from previous models now the capture size is 352x288px.

@Akshay: i also want to know about this "scratch guard"

Scratchguard(tm) is a transparent plastic film that you stick on to your display to protect it against scratches.
@Akshay, the review was good but too short, felt more like a preview. You didn't mention anything about battery life, display quality, preinstalled apps, bluetooth, etc. Please add them to your 'review'.

Cool Re: Nokia N72 Reviewed

Me owns a W800i and an N71

I say... no doubt Sony 2mpx cam's way better than N72's...
W800i Music is also better, mariginally below ipod quality.
N71/N72's is sound quality's ok... but it got a better (read "louder") speaker. About twice as loud as the 800i.

The 3 places N7* might overtake the w800i is :
1. Better loud speaker... one of the loudest I've heard...
2. Video recording rocks @ 352x288 mp4, SE has to pep up it's video rec capability
3. Symbian OS

That's all... other places... SE breezes ahead.

Good review btw...

Battery Life - Battery life is gud but lasts only a day 4 me (I use GPRS for over 4 hrs a day

Scratchguard - Scratchguard is a film put on ur screen so dat it doesnt get scratches on it. It is durable. It is available in most of d Mobile Magic outlets

USB Data Cable - D transfer speed is excellent. U can browse ur cell via PC Suite in a speedy way now.

Display - Display is gr8. I converted a small clip to high resolution 352*416 using smartmovie convertor. D display was awesome n no lags at all.

Bluetooth - Bluetooth seems to b a little more powerful dan my n6600

Softwares preloaded - Yoga 4 beginners, Symantec antivirus, Yahoo Go!, Quickword, Quicksheet r some mentionable softwares. Though u wil b quite uncomfortable wit small view of excel files in Quicksheet.

Recommendation - BUY
