Default Alternate Site for yahoo chat


hi,
is there any alternate site for yahoo chat as i m nt allow to use yahoo messagner in office. if other than this any site pl. say here

wish u all happy new year.......bit late to say this

inditimes messenger supports yahoo also a new messenger Meetro supports yahoo
but it will be of no use bcoz ur office auth. will not permit u to use any of this messenger

One more thing can be done. If you have a goowy account then it has Yahoo MSN GTalk and AOL in built like gmail has its chat in built. So try that too at www.goowy.com

Right at the bottom you will see "Online Messenger". Though this is not as good as meebo its an option

You can use ICQ Messenger,it's better than Yahoo Messenger.

I understand that chat sites are disabled due to company policies. But they are justified in doing so!
Here is a alternative solution. Make a gmail account. It has got built-in chat window! But promise me that productivity is not hampered due to this!

You may not be knowing but this very same Gmail Chat can be blocked/disabled too.

I read about it in the Gmail Help some weeks back.

This is just for your information .
You read it right but assumed wrong. I am aware that Gmail chat can be blocked too. But some companies do spare it. Sometimes it's the program installation restrictions that doesn't allow Standalone messenger programs to get installed. That's where gmail pops-in.
