My XP'S Gone Crazy

Something strange has been happenning aftr i reinstalles xp last week.

First aftr reinst xp i updated it to sp2 but later uninst it.Then it was working fine for the past few days.

But since past two days when ever i right click on a file the explorer(shell) restarts the start bar goes off and resets the folder which is open closes but the progs which are running stays.It happens only wen i right click on files (exe jpg mp3 etc)

wen i rght click on folders nothing strange happens the normal rght click options come up.But it goes crazy with files.Also its normal with shortcuts program menues etc.The only prob is seen with the files.

I have tried disablin all start up stuff scaned for virus using stinger .

try reinstalling XP
select clean install and repair the existing OS ( Win XP )

Thx for tryin to help guy.

Aftr some thoro googling i found out tat it was a sp2 bug with divx tat caused it.Seems tat the appearence of the dr divx in the rght click menu caused the corruption
Had to remove the divx link in the right click menu from reg location

Might b even tho i uninst sp2 the bug with divx remained
