Do SATA+non SATA works!

My whole 80gb sata hdd is filled up now and i am looking for more space.can i attach an old hdd(40gb) from my compaq pc(s3030il)..will it work if i use sata and non sata...what type of accessories(cables) i need to do this job..my mobo is intel 915gev

also i am looking for a average quality mouse from logitech suggest with a price..budget is 800.

Just maintain your existing SATA HDD as it is and add your PATA HDD as Primary Slave
