Question Home threatre system

Want to buy a home threatre system for TV/PC? Mainly want to emphasise on surround speakers. So will it be better to buy a straight forward a home threatre system or 5.1/7.1 channel speakers would be best options.

Please suggest is there any better options other than that.

i dont think buying a 7.1 makes any sense as most of the dvd's dont have the movie recording in 7.1 format. what i mean to say is its either DTS or AC3 5.1 so for these its better to have a 5.1 home theatre system

But it would be lot better if u get a 7.1 with a good decoder, nd it would be better thana 5.1 even in movies as the decoder would create some virtual speakers nd upmixes the 5.1 to 7.1 as if its a real 7.1.
if u have a budget of somewhat 10k, then go for logitech z5300 THX.
If u have enough bucks bout 25k then go for the logitech z5500THX or the Creative mega[5.1] or the gigaworks[7.1]
If u r low on budget, say 5~6k, then go for logitech X530 or the Creative T6060 5.1.
