Start menu disappearing act

In Win98, when there is a freeze, the start menu disappears and so do the icons in the desktop and I am left with a completely blank desktop. In winXP I would go to Task Manager and then start explorer.exe but what about here? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think ur explorer.exe file has errors.... do registry maintainence or restore ur explore.exe file

p2power ofcourse there is an explorer.exe in win98!!

well this is because the process explorer.exe gets terminated
press ctrl-alt-delete to bring the task manager and in new task (if it is there. i forgot abt win98) type explorer.exe and click ok

to get rid of explorer.exe stuff update ur 98 system at windows update or ordet the FREE Windows Security Update CD dated February 2004 from Microsoft India... This CD contains all Updates for Windws 98 system... also for all other Windows versions.

or just call them on this Delhi number and place ur order manually...
