Default re-encode avi file


hi,

i've few divx compressed .avi file...which i need to re-recode so that i can burn them on a single 4.7 gb dvd?? please suggest some solution.....

If possible try to avoid re-encoding as far as you can. Re-encoding should further degrade it's quality. Just make Data-DVD and enjoy in a DivX player.

If re-encoding is almost a necessity, then use Ulead Video Studio, do the necessary editing and convert it to DVD-Video.

thanks for reply. you got me wrong....i do not intend to convert it into dvd video. all i need is to re-encode the avi file to avi itself so that file gets more compressed.....so that i can burn my classified collection into single dvd.

Use Dr. DivX, play with parameters like Length-bredth or Bit-rate,(though there are several other factors) and you will get the intended file-size.
