Lightbulb Advice on Project.

Dear frnds,
I am a 3rd computer science Engg. student.I am thinking abt doing a project.
I am thinking of developing a tool using c++ which does the following:
1>Applies various (*) tweaks to windows XP using the Registry
2>Tells which s/w are installed in the pc
3>Tells item in the startup
4> does othr various small things one can never do in XP without going berserk with it.

is this acceptable as a project?
Thx.

An academic project is not just developing another software tool. The project scenario should be applicable to broader mass. If you are a WBUT student ,this scenario will be difficult to be accepted as a project. So be careful before proceeding further because if it is rejected at an advance stage, your effort so far will go in vain. you can PM me for further suggessions.
