my system does not provide an option to boot from a usb port. How to make a USB device slot bootable, for example, if we have a linux os on a USB pen drive, how can we boot from the pen drive itself, just by plugging it onto a USB slot and switching on the pc.

Go to bios and make ur first boot device as USB by doing these steps
>>when ur comp ons keep pressinf DEL button
>>Go to advanced bios features
>>Then go to boot device
>>u get options for first, second, third boot device..In there make ur first boot device as USB and disable the others
If ur system does not support Booting frm USB device then u cann't do anything
