Problem writing DVD

Hi, I had LiteOn SHW 1635S or something, I don't really remember, but it broke down coz a cracked CD exploded in it. So I gave it to the service centre for replacement and they gave me back SHW 160P6S, now the problem is, can this model write all formats like my previous one did??
Also I am getting a message " You selected a disc type that is not supported by your hardware drives". what does it mean?

use the nero info tool provided with nero
and check which format ur dvd rw support..

aree, for that, just click on the image once it is downloaded and you can read the message.
It happens because imageshack resizes the image, thats why it looks blurred.

But do we really need ASPI for writing DVDs??
Or it can be done even without ASPI?

Hi again, my problem is solved.
What I did was, I downloaded ForceASPI v1.7 and uninstalled the existing ASPI and then installed the new ForceASPI v1.7, so now my ASPI problem was solved, but even then I was getting this message " You selected a disc type that is not supported by your hardware drives ", so I uninstalled nero 6.6 and installed nero 7 and then I was able to write DVDs again.
So I don't really know with whom the problem was (ASPI or Nero)!!!
