Smile best processor below 10K

I would be using app with lot of processing to be done.

shud I go for single core or dual core

dual core neday.. In intel get a pentium d 2.8ghz in amd a athlon x2 3800+

Core 2 Duo E6300. But you need a 965 mobo and a gig of RAM to use it.
