Default How can people connect to my locally installed server

I have a airtel connection & I guess that gives me dynamic IP.
I checked at www.whatismyip.com which reports me as 61.246.XX.XXX

When I run ipconfig /all command I get to see as 192.168.1.2 as my IP.

So if anyone has to connect using internet from anywhere, what address do I have to give to the user so they can connect to my server.

will it be like this http://61.246.XX.XXX/192.168.1.2:8080

Need help in this matter.

I found some info here http://www.boutell.com/newfaq/creati...iclocalip.html
but its hard to understand in my case.
Can some one tell me in a simple step by step way

61.XX.XX.XX is the IP of the proxy/router on the net. 192.168.1.2 is the IP assigned by ur router to ur PC.
U need to PORT FORWARD the port on which u want others to connect.

Google more on port forward to know about it.

So If I forward the port in zonealarm (8080) & ask my friend to access my server at 61.XX.XX.XX:8080. will this work? Though I have found another method by googleing it as mentioned in earlier post.
