PC FOR 35K.. urgent..

a friend of mine wants to take a new pc....budget 35k
its not for gaming...but for extensive video/audio/photo editing.....
hows this...
proccy... conroe e6300 or e6400
motherboard D975XBX or DP965LT(pls gimme ny other mobo wich is good for the above proccys.)
+1 gb(2*512 as it supports dual channel) ddr2 533mhz ram(kingston or hynix) or ??...
+a 5.1 sound system... or whatever is good...
also i want a atx cabinet + a 400w psu... pls recommend me the good ones...
within abt 2-3k...
also i want a 17" lcd monitor.... pref samsung syncmaster xxx(wich one??)
also do 2.1 speaker systems work with 5.1 onboard sound.... i want a good speaker sys for abt 2k...
can som1 gimme the exact prices in mumbai for the above config....
and finally the budget is 35k...
gimme ny config u think is good for this price...
also hows this...

i think i shd take the conroe one instead of the amd one....

do you seriously think that that config will set you back for 35k...
i mean even i have done a lot of research abt the market prices and configured systems for my relatives but i don't think you can get all that in 35 k...
i can't give you prices for mumbai but still even the best and cheapest options you have given would make the price of that pc above 35 k (i think so)
so plz consider ur budget again....
and yes you have forgotten hard drive ,dvd drive,key board,mouse,graphic card(even photo editing requires good graphic)

seagate sata 400gb
2*512 mb ddr 400mhz ram..
MS internet kbd
logitech optical mouse
samsung 17" lcd mon
(now jus sugg me the cab+ps+spkr sys+printer/scanner) such that it comes under 35k..

If its for video/audio editing its best to go for an Intel processor, and in any case, Conroe rules!!!

hey, if u want to buy this config only just increase ur budget for 10k, or eliminate speakers, etc etc which is nto useful for editting.

Dude, the AMD X2 - 3800 and the Conroe E6300 costs the same, the later being Rs 500 costlier. You can get a Conroe supporting mobo for the same price you pay for the Asus A8NE. Only DDR2 memory will cost Rs 1000 more. So if you think you can get an AMD X2 for Rs 35K, then you can very well squeeze in a Conroe under the same budget. Drop the printer for now.
