Dap download ! ! !

i use DAP 2 download files which r big in size ... its really faster & has resume facter also ...

bt nowdays many sites use javascript 2 open a new browser & then download the respective file ...

as dap cannot download the file (it opens up the browser) ... is there any way 2 download these files in2 DAP without opening the browser ...

without browser , might be difficult , but with browsers like opera , u can get the dap plugin or try this , start download with opera itself and cancel it . in transfers page just copy the link of the file and add it to dap . u can also have dap enabled to catch from clipboard

Try Installing Internet Download Manager.....Its an Excellent Alternative and In that u can Download even without opening a separate Browser....Just Right click On the Webpage(After installing The Software i.e.).....and then Click download all link with Idm Option and Then select ur Appropriate Download File..... 8)

i ve had a bad expireience with it too........then i used netants which gave me satisfactory results ......but the best is the firefox's built in download manager.really smooth and fast..........get that

Scrap all those sharewares and Adwares,Try these free Download managers,they are real good and i have been using them with no problems.
One is,Download Express,has capability to download from ftp sites.visit this site for download:-

The other one is,LeechGet,this is also a good download manager,visit site for download:-
http://www.leechget.net/en/

Both have multithreading,retry,resuming cabalities and more options.

click the link to download and start downloading it on OPERA.
in the transfer's window find the URL of the file at the bottom.
copy this URL. paste it in DAP at--downloads--new download

no no i mean ... wanna download wallpapers on jammag.com, bt many of those pix open with a new

window (javascripting) ...

if i put all those links in dap & start downloading ... it says the link is an html file & opens a new browser

... so whots the use of dap ...

can anybody help me 2 download all those wallpapers ???

if u just wanna download wallpapare why do u need DAP ?
just open it ... ricght click and save picture
should be simple enuff !!
dont think u need DAP for that..
besides ... for downloading picture files using DAP u need to add the extension in the DAP recognised extension box in preferences

im sorry if someone has said this before. . i havent read the whole topic
in a bit of a hurry

also there are some instances when DOWNLOAD MANAGERS dont work !
such as javascript popup windows ... be it any file !
cuz the link is not direct .. it opens another page which has the LINK !
anyways ... give it a shot addint he extension to DAP
but be prepared to download every image on a site IF this works

if ya r able to view tht wallpaper... then click on its properties and copy the link... ow try to download tht lik thru DAP or whichever dld mgr ur using...

thats what i did (but used the copy link address using opera direct right click)

moreover if they open in a new page, whats the difference?
a wallpaper would not be only 50-100 KB on average

Just stick on to firefox..it has an inbuilt download manager with pause and resume features .. You can also enjoy a safer login becoz it asks u whether it has to store a cookie or not... 8)

why go for higher versions when a very stable version is around ??
go for version 5.3 of dap and stickon to it for life..like me..just condemn 7.2 and 7.3 (waste of time)i have used both and prefer to stick on to this version is becoz OLD IS GOLD
