Default Dell Latitude D520


I am getting D520 with following specs:

T2300E Duo Core, 512DDR2 Ram, 945G Chipset, 60Gb HDD, DVD Combo, 14.1inch screen, 3yrs Complete Cover, 3yrs On-Site warranty, Win XPPro Preloaded comes with CD, Backpack and a 256mb pen drive.. .. How is the Config? And any opoinion about the laptop? Price is approx 48K..

Latitude Series laptops from Dell are costlier than 48k. I doubt about the deal you are getting. too good to be true for this price tag. Who gave it? Dell orders can only be placed from their website/telephonic support. 3 years complete cover is just not possible for a price of 48k. Check the quotation and price again.

that same config is actually listed in Dell's India June catalog but with a price of Rs.60,204 cut down from Rs.78,000. If you call them you you may be able to get the price one or two thou lower but it will never reach 48 grand.

Also, not sure what use you want to put the laptop to but the slightly cheaper Inspiron series are more than enough for most Home and Home Office uses. Check out the Inspi's as well before you shell out for a Latitude.
