Compatibility Issue(AGP Card)

hi,
config of my pc is
Intel 850 GB mother board,
p4 1.6 GHz processor
256 MB RD RAM
80 GB Seagate HDD
64 MB NVidia AGP
LANCER sound card
bla bla bla

now can i install 256MB of AGP in my system??will it give proper output?
i want to upgrade my 64 MB agp with 256 as i am facing fragmentation problem while playing some games..
kindly let me know

As far as i know your Motherboard supports only AGP 4x
Any agp card with 'x' amount of video memory will run fine only it will run at 4x.
i don't think your problem will be solved by increasing your video memory. your need greater video bandwidth.

Well.......if its a 64MB MX 4000 or MX440 then u can get a 5200 or 6200.....but if u have a 64MB 5200 then no need to upgrade....isntead get a 865 mobo with a 8X slot...
