Default A problem with memory

Hey guys,
I have 512MB RAM on my machine of which 16MB is shared by my on-board video card. Now, I want to buy a 128MB graphics card. So, I want to free those 16MB.How do I do that?

Go ahead.
Buy the agp card and install it.
Set your bios to agp slot instead of pci/onboard.
Or disable the onboard graphics if your bios has such an option.
Anyway most probably you wont need to do anything cos the
bios will try to initialise the agp card first by default and if its not present then only it will use the onboard gpu.
The shared memory will be freed automatically .
