How to use Remote Desktop Connection?

In my office 4 systems are connected in network in workgroup

2 runs with win98se other 2 runs with winxp sp2

I want to connect with remote desktop connection, I enter in remote desktop wizard on xp and browse the computer for remote enter it says cannot find terminal server. I am sharing the internet from winxp system.

How to I connect remotely in both OS?

Please help me.

in winxp computers
go to
my computer -> (right click) -> properties -> remote ->
see if the 'allow users to connect from this computer' and 'allow remote assistance invitaions to be sent from this computer' .. both are checked

it possible that remote connection was off in any one of computer.
check both boxes and then try to connect

in win98 computers
you can connect to winxp computers in you install this from this page
you cannot connect to a win98 comp from any other comp
but you can connect to winxp from from both win98 and winxp .. if u install above mentioned file in win98 comp

now once u've installed above file in win98 ..
or from winxp comp
go to
start -> progams -> accessories -> connections -> remote deskto connction
give the ip and username etc .. ( or winxp comp )
it shud connect
