How do open a rar files? Which program is best suited for this kinds of files?

Use WinRAR available in this months CD in the essentials section.

try powerarchiver, it supports almost all compression formats including rar, zip, ace etc

7 zip is kool..... btw winrar is not paid its shareware.....
u can reuse it after 30 days..
