Problem with double click as well as enter

I m having a genuine problem. i hv a pc running ms windows xp, and whenever i try to open any icon by double clicking it, whether in explorer, or on desktop, the property window for that object opens up, ditto for selecting that item and pressing enter. PLZ HELP

Maybe you have set the Click event on right click and and the pop menu or properties on the left click.Go to Control Panel and check mouse properties.

ummmmmmmmmmm...............maybe some basic tweaks frm Control Panel or some frm menu settings.................OR google it.

Open regedit and for following keys:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell

Make sure the value of Default is set to none, if its not then change it!
