Default what should i do to solve this error ?


hi

yesterday i formated pc and now i m getting this error whenever i m trying to access yahoo messenger......

procedure entrypoint internet get security infoBy URLW couldnot located in dynamic link library WININET.dll

lot of time i did uninstallation and clean installation of yahoo ..but stilll gettting this error.....

-try reinstalling yahoo.

-did u install IE7.. ?may be cause of that

Ya i have installed IE7.......

and u r right.....i have seen same problem related discussion ..here...

i did this ..but stiil unable to uninstall ie7.....

1. Click “Start,” and then click “Control Panel.”
2. Click “Add or Remove Programs.”
3. Check “Show Updates” at the top of the dialog box.
4. Scroll down the list to “Windows XP – Software Updates,” select “Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2Preview,” and then click "Change/Remove."

@ mk,

If that doesnt solve ur problem then d/load tat .dll file wich might hv got corrupted and paste it in the directory:

did u restart ur pc i got this problem when i did not restart my pc any ways go to start- control panel - add remove programs- add remove windos component and in it uncheck the internet explorer it will uninstall whatever u have then use the same thing to reinstall it u will nedd windows xp cd for it

and for god's sake don't use ie 7 very very slow use opera

Try uninstalling IE 7 using http://groups.google.com/group/micro...185db8aa4f04d9

As techie says, drop IE and go for Opera or Firefox... I personally use Opera. Its latest stable version is 9.01... Only where sites use IE-specific scripts do I use IE 6 through Slimbrowser...
