Default Verification of HDD rpm


Hi Guys!!!!!!

I recently bought a 80GB 7200rpm HDD.How do I check if it really is running at 7200rpm and I have not been duped ?

if its a samsung disk the product number should be of the form SP....
Alternately visit the manufacturer's website and look up for corresponding product number...that is all i can help..but i am sure there must be some other way too

Well the harddrive is not from SAMSUNG or SEAGATE but by WESTERN DIGITAL.I checked out on the manufacturer`s site but wanted to make sure about the product.

well to check the speed of HDD...u can use Tools like AIDA..or Fresh Dignose..softs hav been given in prev Digit CD's...just search for them.....
