Run my own webserver...!

i know its tough and not faesible all time..! but still..

how can i run a web server of my own..!! on my P 4. 1.8 ghz,40gb,256mb ram like they do with xeon, titanium on net ..??? for me alone..! less traffic.!

i want all the features php,sql etc..to be installed on my own systemm.??

wot softy 2 download..??

plz give me the basics of running a web server.!

i lost interest on other 3rd party servers..if u use any free hosting cpanel and say its best..and easy tell me plz..!! ie:free it shud be..also !

have 2 host a vbulletin board there..!

1. Install ISS from ur XP Pro Cd.
Run services ISS and www service from "services.msc"
2. Add aliases and other directories.
Suppose u alias C:\pop143 as popo...then u run it as http://localhost/popo.
3. Install php....run a test file from popo directory a "http://localhost/popo/test.php
4. SImilarly install mysql....and see its configuration if u face difficulty in integration with ISS.

For any term u dont understand like aliasing of directories for ISS ....google it!!
