Strengths: Great Price, Easy Installation, fast burn rates, very reliable with almost all media EXCEPT DVD+R DL

Weaknesses: Would not burn Matrix DVD+R dual layer media, received write errors, cannot set to a 1X write speed to corect problem

Summary: This is a very good burner for almost all CD and DVD recordable media. You cannot beat its price and performance for burning non dual layer media. That said, I burned coasters in all my attempts to burn with Dual Layer media (Matrix from shop4tech.com). The inability to set the burn rate at 1X on Nero Burning ROM 7 may have contributed to this problem. If you are not burning DL's this is a wonderful unit for the money.
