Default remotely connect to my pc


i have a laptop and pc.....both running xp pro sp1....i connect them thru cross over cable...is there any way that i can control the acttions of my pc thru my laptop....
i mean to say that i can c in real time the desktop of my pc frm laptop and control the actions of my pc.....
is there any software or way of doin it?

Yes.. Its called remote desktop. Its built into windows XP its in accessories somewhere. Go through the help ans support center to know more about it.

You can use third party softwares like PCAnywhere for greater features.

Didn't anyone think of Netmeeting ?? I have used it before. It works great. But dunno about how much more features anyone would want. If your PC and lappie is on network, u can virtually change anything on any node. If netmeeting is used, then you can share the desktop and can use your lappie to access the PC anytime right ?
