handy cam as a web cam

Has anyone tried using a handy cam as a web cam ? I have a pinnacle PCTV usb2 100e device ( external ) , the came source of yahoo messenger webcam preference recognizes it as a source for the bradcast, I've never tried as the handicam is not with me right now, any success in using it this way if u have tried it?

Which handycam do u use? There must be a way to do it in their manual or website. or just ask them in their help and support section.
