Default RAM Upgrade


i have a old Compaq Presario Desktop PC with Abit BD-70g motherboard & 128MB DDR SDRAM working at 266MHz.I want to upgrade my RAM.Please tell me which type of RAM will be suitable for my PC.I want a RAM that will work with my existing 128 MB RAM.

the ideal way is to dual channel it with the same amount of RAM and also same frequency ... but 128 looks too small for me ... so better go buy a higher frequency(ur mobo supporting) RAM ... maybe 512mb DDR 400mhz ... tht will retail for 1900 bucks

My mobo only supports upto 266MHz.is 512MB RAM working at 266Mhz available

i think it is ... even if u buy a higher frequency thingy it wont be a prob coz the mobo will underclock to 266mhz

512 m not les than 400 Mhz,but if ur pc does not support ,its no use get a 266 Mhz

hw much will 512mb ram cost
and hw i will know which ram of which frequency or something will be good for me.
currently working on 248mb 2.8ghz p4 wid ht tech
