any software 2 hide my Ip address ???
as i came 2 a site which gave my IP address along with all the details ...
am scared ...

It doesnt work--Both Hide IP and HIde IP Platinum sucks as i tried while i was dwnldng something from rapidshare.Rapidsahre denied me and said me to wait for another freaking long time..People say it tracks ur ip adress and stuff so i used this s/w and it showed no results....

Byepass the Rapidshare data download limit
Rapidshare limits each user to a certain amount of downloading per day based on the users IP address. You can easily cheat rapidshare by showing a different IP address.
1. Clear your browser cookies.
2. Open the command prompt (Start - Run - cmd.exe)
3. Run the following simple commands:
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
4. Type exit to close the DOS window. Restart the rapidshare download job.

you need something called NAT...

NAT hides ur internal IP and uses a diff IP to communicate with the outer world. and i think it can be programmed to change the outbount mapping(changing IPs) at set intervals

The best way will be by using proxies.... dependin on the type of the proxy, u can change ur details about ur location/isp provider.. Hide ip platinum and others which u have mentioned use the same method...they search for a best proxy ip available, automatically configure ff/ie to go throught that ip without the direct one..
Still depending on the type of the ip, u can be traced/not
if u are using transparent ips, ur main ip(given by ur isp) can be traced, cause the callling headder contains both the proxy ip and main ip when u are using a transparent ip..
If u use a anonymous type ip, the headder details will be anonymous , but the main ip can also be found..
IF u use an highly elite anonymous type ip , the headder will never contain ur main ip....thus is highly difficult to get the main ip..
if u use an elite ip, u can bypass rapidshare as many rapidshare limit overcomin softwares uses the same road... they check weather the ip is good enough to overcome rapidshare....
But even elite ips arent completly anonymous ips....it can be traced...
The better way to this is using a proxy chain.... with loads of workin elite proxies.. this will minimise ur info displayed... but depending on the speed of each ip, ur browsing speed may be greatly reduced/slighty increased..

Sorry, I beg to differ. There are loads of hacking sites which tell you your IP address, the ISP provider, the country(obviously, if they have found the ISP provider), your OS, your browser name and version and LOTS MORE. So, there is a necessity for you to be paranoid about your security. Do take care and use the softwares recommended by the users here.

Which Connection you are in ?? as right now no ISP in India is giving Static IP as necessarily that is Optional !!
Therefore dont select any such plan and stay on Dymanic IP... just DC and reconnect to change ur IP address !!

All Hide IP softwares are cr@p except Anonymizer Anonymous Web Surfing (7-day-trial ),it is the only which works in all browsers.

as for proxy, long time Back in 2004 a Geek in Network (Digen he was i think) here at Digit Forum recomeded me TOR if you know how to confiure it (not very difficult though ) is the Best in Bisuness, more over its free

Rapidshare doesnt detect your IP. The reason is....Hide IP has a few number of proxies in its database and lots and lots of people us e Hide IP. Since the no of proxies is limited, the IP you get from Hide IP has already been used by someone else to download from RS
