Default "MSDOS compatibility mode file system" problem...

Dudes!
I have a problem... I recently upgraded my machine to

P4 2.8 Ghz
256 MB RAM
40 GB Samsung HDD
Intel 865GBF Motherboard

The problem is this...

###########################################

###########################################

My system is using MS-DOS compatibility mode file system.. Which makes games load very slow...
I am using Windows ME.

* The problem only started after I upgraded my machine..
* The problem was there even after a fresh Install of Windows ME ..
So I won't post my HijackThis log file for better assesment of the problem
* This problem ain't present in Windows XP
* I tried to download the latest drivers... But there were none.

There is a resource conflict between the hard disk controller and another hardware device...may be..
The Windows protected-mode driver is missing or damaged.
The Windows 95-32-bit protected-mode disk drivers detcted an unsupportable configuration or incompatible hardware.
Now Try this too....
Download the Remideup.exe from here
http://www.dictacomm.com/95HELP/ide_drive.htm
In Windows Explorer, double-click the Remideup.exe file you downloaded in step 1
Follow the instructions on the screen

Please tell weather this helped....
Best luck Nikhil
