PC Automatically restarts ????

I have Windows XP Professional with service pack 2 installed on my PC.
The problem is that, my PC suddenly restarts whenever there is power cut(with back up UPS). There is a Back up UPS connected to my PC.
Can any one help me to sort out of this problem?

do a thorough check up of your ups battery, it might need a replacement. I had similar problem, cured when replaced the battery.

Probably something wrong with relay in the UPS. If the battery is gone, and mains power is cut, from where will the UPS supply current for reboot. And it takes more current when starting.(surge current)
