Irritating Monitor

Hello,

I am using syncmaster CRT monitor.... the prob im facing is, it doesn't get
powered on in a single attempt.. i have to press the monitors power button
4-5 times every time.the switch works properly... this problem exists from the
past few months.... Can anyone help me?

the switch must be broken...

In my case, I shut down the system and then power off the UPS and rarely switch off the monitor.
In your case the problem seems to be the switch.
