Default Delete NTFS Protected Folder

This morning I ran Windows Update (on my Win XP SP2 system) (My Biggest Mistake)

Now I cant boot into it, neither safe mode, nor last good config, nothing works. After th Initial Splash screen, screen goes blank and nothing happens.

Then I tried repairing my OS thru the XP CD, this too hangs. (System Restore was already disabled, so I cant restore.)

So I installed it on another drive. (Gr8, it got installed).

Then I copied the data frm C drive (which had OS initially) using GetBackData for NTFS. But how do I remove those user folders in "Document & Settings".

Please suggest a way to either revive the previous XP Installation (most preferrable) or any utlitiy to delete these NTFS protected folder.
