get required codecs here
thats it ..

specifically speaking u need these codecs

mm.. well.. i guess Konverter can do this.. It can convert to about 20-30 audio formats..

try ogg format. Digit had provided command line tools for ogg encoding and playing the format via WMP9. Ogg is open-source.

Doesn't the windows media player do that automaically when you are writing/burning mp3's to a CD??

What is ogg format exactly, someone kindly elaborate for me!!
