well i can tell u a book that will teach u from scrath and wil go deep into MySQL .

it's "Beginning MySQL" from Wrox Press .

by the way , al books from wrox are very very good , they go deep into a subject to satisfy your appetite . don't go with sams teach yourself series coz they just brush up the subject and noothing else whereas wrox books give u a good practicle knowledge and advanced usage too .
