Question can i overclock my system


i am having intel 915 gav pentium 3 ghz with ht and 256 ddr ram can i overclock my system and will my system support it

dude why do u wanna do that...

n i guess u can but i wudnt recomend u that...u may have cooling problem in future which can harm ur cpu....may be some extra cooling solutions like cpu fan help.

well puja... not talkin abt mine...its quite old n that time i didnt had much choice....n if we go thru some reviews intels have become slower n generate higher temperatures compared to their opponent amd...which had tons of heating issue early on....so u c shud be careful wit everythin...

@ sathyan : well u may overclock ur sys but i dun recon u n neither its gonna help u much at home....3 ghz is already gud enuf...u may upgrade ur ram, agp etc..overclocking by a little margin may just increase ur cpu temp but wont let u figure any reasonable increase in performance....gud luk
